Dr. Margot Schwag |

Dr. Schwag can’t remember when she decided she wanted to become a Veterinarian. According to her childhood friends, they always knew it was her destiny. Dr. Schwag grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her Mother, Mimi, a classically trained artist, her father, Samuel, an Attorney. She is the youngest of three sisters and one brother. She was raised with a myriad a dogs and cats. She worked at a stable at age thirteen, teaching English equitation, and purchased her first horse. Her higher education included two years at Penn State University, then receiving her B.S in biology at Villanova University. Working towards a Masters in Science at Villanova followed. Dr. Schwag graduated in 1987 in the top ten percent of her class. She was thirty years young before she was finally done with school! Doctors Fuhrman and Schwag built (literally) Landisville Animal Hospital from the ground up. They opened their doors July 20, 1987. “ How wonderful to still love what I do after working in the field over twenty years!” When not seeing animals, Dr. Schwag enjoys traveling around our great country, West Coast Swing dancing, gardening, fishing and being outdoors! Currently she is owned by four Devon Rex cats- Riva, Inara, Joss and Me-me. Her Doberman days are sadly behind her for now. |
