Dr. Carla Douple

Dr. Douple grew up right here in Lancaster County on a local “farmette”.  She began to develop her love for all creatures great and small early in life as she “mothered” the various strays and back yard pets.

During summer breaks from Messiah College, Dr. Douple worked at Landisville Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant.  She then graduated with a bachelor of science in biology and a horticulture minor.  In 1998, Dr. Douple graduated from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  “When I was ready to come back to Lancaster County, I interviewed at several local practices, but Landisville Animal Hospital was were I belonged and I am here to stay.”

Dr. Douple is married to her husband, Steve since January of 1994.  Their home, near Mount Joy is currently shared with Roxie, the English bulldog, Beatrice, a French Bulldog, and two cats, Annabelle and Opal.  Dr. Douple enjoys gardening, crafts, and movies.  She and her husband enjoy hiking, and biking, ice-cream treats at the Mt. Gretna Jigger Shop and trips to her parent’s cabin near Shippensburg.
